Brief & solution

As part of a new initiative Benchmark Collective were asked to lead a project focused on rebooking individual delegate attendees for Africa Oil Week 2022. Delegates have never before been given the opportunity to register this early, receiving the best price for their pass and being able to plan their budgets and their diaries well ahead of time. As a further incentive, delegates also benefited from gajining free access to a brand new event launching in 2022 at the same time, in the same venue, the Green Africa Energy Summit.

Result

The delegate rebook trial proved that the desire, concept and the results were very positive and early onsite delegate rebook will become a permanent offering at Africa Oil Week. Bringing delegate revenue forward enables Hyve Group to focus on the growth, development and bringing top quality content and networking opportunities this event is so infamous for. In 2022 the aim will be to build on the numbers of delegates forward booking for AOW 2023 to help grow this revenue stream.

We were delighted to trial the delegate rebook concept with Benchmark Collective at Africa Oil Week 2021. Benchmark’s previous experience with exhibitor rebooking meant that they had an invaluable understanding of our unique event and our clients, which was essential to trial this concept. We were pleased with the results for an initial trial and will be looking to further develop the delegate onsite rebook at future editions in consultation with the Benchmark team
